OPI, Philosophy, and Fresh: A Beauty Haul

I've been putting off sifting through my email because all 2,560 were store ads and I knew that I would have buy something! Well, today's haul is the product of my inbox. I only purchased two items from Sephora but I also received my free birthday gift (happy birthday to me!), and three free samples that come with every online order. Also, they have free shipping on orders over $25 using the promo code ship25. Sephora has some more awesome deals right now!

Stick around for my first impressions!
The reason I went to Sephora's website was because of their Summer Sale: 50% off select nail polish. I am a self-acknowledged nail polish hoarder (a post about nail polish organization soon to come!) so this purchase was a no-brainer.

This box has ten of Sephora by OPI's top ten best selling colors in the cutest mini sizes! It was also 50% off! Hello nail polish! Nailed it! includes: (L to R)
Bare to Be Different, Leotard Optional, Metro Chic, I'm Wired, Mermaid to Order
And: Nonfat Soy Half Caff, Already Famous, Havana Dreams, Break a Leg-Warmer!, It's Bouquet With Me

First Impressions:
  • Packaging: Super cute! I did think that the box was a bit hard to open (but who really cares, once its open, its open!) Each polish is held upright by the gold cardboard, which I think is key, I hate when my polishes aren't vertical! I just imagine all the polish dripping into the handle... yuck!
  • Color Selection: Obviously these are the top 10 bestsellers. I went with this collection because I know I don't own any of these colors, although I own some that are similar.
  • Overall Quality: I already knew the caliber of quality going into the purchase so no surprise there! We will see how the colors turn out when swatted/painted. (expect a post!)

I have been meaning to try this next product for ages. I've heard so many good things about Philosophy's Purity cleanser. The reason I haven't tried it yet is because every time I go on Sephora or Ulta's website, I end up reading the bad reviews which keep me from investing. I have very sensitive skin, so I didn't want to splurge on something that could give me hives! After nearly a year of lusting I came to a happy medium. This 3 oz. bottle will be just enough for me to test without breaking the bank at $10.
First Impressions:
  • Packaging: I love Philosophy's packaging! they are always so cute with the little descriptions on the front!
  • Overall Quality: The jury is out on this one! I really have to try this cleanser for a few months before I can tell how my skin will react. I will bring you a full review soon!

The next thing in my box from Sephora was my Birthday gift from Benefit:
This little box includes a trial size of Benefit's They're Real! mascara and Watts up! highlighter. I love this mascara but have never repurchased. I can't get over the steep price for a mascara that I will use up in a few months! I've never tried this highlighter and I'm excited! I'm so fair that most highlighters have little effect on my skin. That sounds a bit harsh but its true!

Next up are the three free trial size gifts with purchase. I chose:
Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo & Conditioner
Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Cream & Soy Face Cleanser
Pink Sugar Perfume

I'm excited to see how these stand up to their reputations! Reviews to come soon!
